Cancelling, exporting your data, and deleting your account
Your data is yours. CSV exports anytime. Read-only access after cancellation. Self-service account deletion if you want to walk away clean.
Cancelling a subscription
Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your account moves to read-only — you can still log in, view records, run reports, and export data. You will not be charged again unless you Resume.

Exporting your data
You can export at any time, including after cancellation:
- Cows: Settings → Cows export, or via the Cows index page.
- Events: a single CSV of every event ever recorded on your farm.
- Tasks: open and completed.
- Reports: PDF for season-summary and data-quality.
Deleting your account
Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Type your farm name to confirm. The deletion soft-deletes your records immediately. Permanent purge happens 30 days later, with backups rolling out within an additional 30 days.
If you paid within the last 30 days, email us before deleting — the refund process is easier when the account still exists.
Going on the Free plan
If you don't want to delete entirely, downgrade to Free instead. Cancel from Settings → Billing, and at the end of the period your account simply runs on Free (with the 10-cow cap). Your data stays. You can upgrade again later.
